Rumor

As Nicola Berger writes in the Neue Zürcher Zeitung, there are rumors that Cédric Hächler would have almost left the ZSC Lions as part of a three-party deal involving the Lions, EHC Kloten, and Lausanne HC.

According to Berger, Hächler, whose contract with the ZSC Lions will expire in spring, would have left in direction of EHC Kloten. Additionally, Kloten's Lukas Frick, who will play for Lausanne as of next season, and Lausanne HC's Per Ledin were to trade places.

However, the deal fell through, as, so the rumor, Ledin was apparently not interested in leaving Lausanne. As for Hächler, Kloten is not the only team interested in the player. Ticinonews had reported back in November that HC Ambrì-Piotta has cast an eye on the Lions' defenseman.
