Swiss National Team

For their first tournament of the season, the Swiss national team will be traveling to Turku, Finland.

At the Karjala Cup in Turku, Switzerland will face Finland (November 10), Sweden (November 12), and Czechia (November 13). 25 players have been nominated by head coach Patrick Fischer for the first national team gathering of the season.

"The anticipation for the tournament is huge amongst us", Fischer states. "It gives us the opportunity to see the players in serious matches against the best teams in Europe for the first time as early as November."

Travis Green, formerly head coach of the NHL's Vancouver Canucks (and still on their payroll), will support the coaching staff. "We want to use this opportunity to get valuable input for our future path from a proven expert with no previous connection to the team", Lars Weibel, Director National Teams, states.
