Jonas Taibel, who was drafted 13th overall by the Moncton Wildcats of the QMJHL, will join his new club in one of Canada's three top junior leagues next month. In the past season, he played for the SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers' U17-Elit and U20-Top, but also appeared in his first game in the National League.
In addition to Taibel, also GCK Lions forward Liekit Reichle will lace up in Canada next season. He has been signed by the Prince George Cougars of the WHL to a Standard Player Agreement after he was drafted by them as 23rd overall in the CHL Import Draft. Last season, he recorded 75 points (20 goals) in 43 games with GCK's U20-Elit.
