After today's announcement of the clubs to start the 2020-21 season only in October, the organizing committee of the Hockeyades decided to cancel this year's edition, which was supposed to take place from August 18 to August 22.

As written on the official website of the event, the decision came after the participating clubs informed the organizers that they had to adjust their preparation programs to the postponed start of the season, and were therefore not able to play on the scheduled dates.

This year, three National League clubs were set to participate, namely Genève-Servette HC, HC Fribourg-Gottéron, and SC Bern. Moreover, from the Swiss League, HC Sierre and HC Ajoie were also supposed to face each other during the five-day manifestation.
