With head coach Bader, the Austrians managed to be promoted to the top division this year. For the upcoming World Championship in 2018, their goal is to remain among the world's best teams. Bader, who joined the Austrian youth coaching staff in 2014, will, therefore, stay behind the bench of the national team for the second consecutive year.

The 52-year-old has served as assistant coach for several teams in the National League A as well, among them: EHC Kloten, SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers and HC Fribourg-Gottéron.
