(RUS) KHL

This morning, the Russian website championat.com reported that Slava Bykov might become CSKA Moscow's new head coach. The 56-year-old, however, denies this rumor in an interview with La Liberté.

Bykov, who is not only a member of HC Fribourg-Gottéron's board of directors but also team consultant, tells the same source that he wants to concentrate on other issues. "The important thing at the moment is Gottéron. Every time a KHL coach gets laid off, my name pops up. But this is much ado about nothing," he states.

Bykov was CSKA's head coach from 2004 to 2009. Since 2015, the former player of the Dragons has been a member of HC Fribourg-Gottéron's board of directors.
