According to the Neue Zürcher Zeitung, Severin Blindenbacher has been allowed to stay away from the ZSC Lions’ practice.

The 34-year-old defenseman has been out of the lineup for over three months due to a concussion. He will return to the Lions at the beginning of the Olympic break to re-evalutae his situation.

«He is doing weight training and is not able to train on the ice. A change of air might do him some good,» Sven Leuenverger tells the newspaper. In ten games for ZSC this season, Blindenbacher has recorded two assists.
