Damien Brunner (photo) and Dario Bürgler of HC Lugano both underwent surgery. Both are expected to miss about five to six months.

Bürgler underwent surgery to repair his ruptured pectoralis major tendon as well as to reconstruct the tendon of the rotator cuff of his right shoulder. He has already started with rehab and is expected to be out for about six months.

Brunner, for his part, was operated on the MCL of his left knee. He also underwent surgery for the anterior tibiofibular ligament of his left ankle. He, too, will be out for about five to six months.
