According to the Tages-Anzeiger, the four newly crowned Swiss Champions are all dealing with injuries, which might prevent them from following a potential call-up from Switzerland's head coach Patrick Fischer.

Geering is dealing with AC joint problems, while Marti has been playing with a broken forefinger in the finals. Suter, on the other hand, suffers from a thumb injury, and Baltisberger might have to undergo foot surgery.

Switzerland will play its first preliminary round game at the 2018 World Championship in Copenhagen on Saturday, May 5th. Their opponent will be Austria.
