ZSC's new head coach Serge Aubin just recently told the Tages-Anzeiger that "it's going very well" and that the 35-year-old defender would be able to take part in everything. Blindenbacher's good condition obviously also allowed him to jump back into ZSC's roster for their first preseason game against the GCK Lions at the KEBO on Friday night (8-2 win).
Still out and not yet available were captain Patrick Geering (recovering from groin surgery), Simon Bodenmann (muscle injury), Roger Karrer (adductors), Reto Schäppi (back), as well as Robert Nilsson (concussion).
