Pettersson already missed last week's game against the Aalborg Pirates. The 31-year-old is one of four players not in the Lions' lineup due to health-related reasons. Defenseman Roger Karrer and forwards Robert Nilsson and Reto Schäppi are out as well, while Mattia Hinterkircher is a healthy scratch.
Pettersson was the top scorer of last season's Champions Hockey League edition with nine goals and seven assists in nine games. This season, he has scored one goal in the one game he played so far.
