The Finn sustained his injury in a game against Ak Bars Kazan at the end of August and has been out of the lineup ever since. Sandell joined HC Davos on a tryout basis in July but then earned himself a contract for the entire season.
As for the players' license of Anders Lindbäck, it has arrived, so he technically could play against HC Lugano tonight.
