According to the Keystone-SDA, he was subsequently brought to the hospital. It is not yet clear when he will be able to leave the hospital and how long he will be out of the lineup. "This will only become apparent over the course of the next week. We are just glad that he does not show any signs of paralysis", EVZ's team manager Reto Kläy states in a press release.

While Zug spoke of a cervical vertebrae injury, Klingberg's father Carl told the Göteborgs Posten that his son broke a neck vertebra and also tore several ligaments in the crash.

Zug already provided an update on Klingberg last night, stating that he is able to move all his extremities and is responsive. In the 6:09 minutes he played last night, Klingberg scored one goal, his seventh of the season. In total, he has appeared in 22 games for EV Zug, recording 16 points.
