Medical Report

The Czech forward of the ZSC Lions is able to practice with the team again, however, he is wearing a no-contact jersey.

The recovery is not over for Roman Červenka.

As we learn from the interview of Sven Leuenberger, Lions' team manager, with SRF, Červenka is able to practice again, however, due to his medications, namely blood thinners, he has to avoid any physical contact. The blood thinners are necessary to treat a pulmonary embolism that is keeping him out since the end of November.

«At the moment, an injury to the head or liver, for example, could have devastating consequences.»
Sven Leuenberger

Even though Červenka is able to practice, it is not sure if he will be ever able to play again. Should the blood thinners not work, then, in a worst case scenario, the 33-year-old would probably have to hang up his skates. In this season, Červenka scored one goal and put up eight assists in twelve games.
