The 20-year-old forward is currently walking on crutches and is not able to take part in Genève-Servette HC's pre-season games. Whether or not he will miss the start of the season, is not yet entirely clear.
"It is not expected that he will be ready for the very beginning of the season, but everything depends on how fast he will recover, " Woodcroft says. The Grenats lost their first pre-season game against CSKA Moscow 3-0 tonight.
