Medical Report

The Berner Zeitung reports that the SCL Tigers' goaltender, Ivars Punnenovs, might have to stay away from the rink for several weeks due to adductor problems.

According to the same source, Punnenovs suffered this injury during the game against HC Ambrì-Piotta last Saturday. The goaltender was pulled out, apparently not due to his performance but pain. The results from an MRI yesterday are not yet known, thus it remains to be seen how long he has to stay away from game action.

"I'm doing pretty well, better than at the weekend," the 23-year-old goaltender stated. For tonight's Swiss Cup clash, Punnenovs will not be in the Tigers' lineup. If he is absent for a longer period of time, the SCL Tigers will want to temporarily sign another goaltender.
