The 21-year-old will start studying at Ohio State University on a scholarship in August and play for their sports team, the Ohio State Buckeyes.

Brändli has already won two Swiss Championships with the ZSC Lions in 2011 and 2013, while still playing for junior teams in Bülach and Winterthur at the same time. In the SWHL A, besides the Lions and Weinfelden, the netminder has suited up for Neuchâtel Academy Dames.

After Florence Schelling's retirement, Brändli is one of the contenders for the job as starting netminder of the Swiss women's national team. She was on the roster for the Olympic Games in Pyeongchang but did not see any ice time. She has also won two medals at Women's World Junior Championships.
