"We are confident enough and ready for the quarterfinal," head coach Thierry Paterlini says to the Russian news agency TASS. "The game against the Finns was close to perfect for us, especially in defense," he explains. "We have a good team spirit."
The Swiss, however, cannot count on the Russians to underestimate them. There is no reason for being too self-assured, Russian forward Yegor Sokolov says: "No one was glad that it wouldn't be Finland [in the quarterfinal]. We need to show our best game."
According to the official line-up, the Swiss can count again on defender Nico Gross and forward Joel Salzgeber. Defender Mika Henauer, on the other hand, is injured. Puck-drop for today's quarterfinal between Switzerland and Russia is at 12.30 (CET) at the Werk Arena in Třinec/CZE.
