The 29-year-old felt that the double burden of playing hockey with Lugano and working was getting too much for her, so she chose to take on a new challenge which lets her do both equally. After eleven seasons, four championship titles and 251 SWHL A-games (110 goals, 125 assists) with Lugano, she is going to move to Australia and join Melbourne Ice.

Melbourne Ice is one of four teams in the Australian Women's Ice Hockey League. They have a lot of Australian national team players among them.
