MEDICAL REPORT - After scoring the equalizer for the Utica Comets in the first period of the Calder Cup final series against the Manchester Monarchs, Sven Bärtschi took a bad hit and left the game injured.

As the Utica Observer-Dispatch reports, the Swiss forward did not return for the second period after he got hit late in the first. Utica's coach Travis Green was not able to give an update on his condition in the post-game press conference and there is no word if the 22-year-old will be able to suit up in tomorrow's Game 2 of the series.

In spite of Sven Bärtschi's power play goal after 17:01 in the first period, the Utica Comets dropped Game 1 against the Manchester Monarchs 2-3 in overtime. (tme)
