NLB - HC La Chaux-de-Fonds is considering to sign three import-players for the upcoming season, as L'Impartial reports. The reason behind these thoughts lies in Benoìt Mondou's concussion issues.

The team wants to buy themselves an insurance in case the 29-year-old forward relapses. The Canadian had been out since October due to a severe concussion, but received the green light by the doctors in March to return to hockey and thus to HCC, where he has a valid contract until 2017.

Furthermore, the team's interest in forward James Desmarais, who was no longer wanted in Visp, has decreased a bit due to the Canadian's salary demands. As for their backup goaltender, U20 netminder Paul Barbezat will likely take over this position for the time being.

In other news, La Chaux-de-Fonds is also interested in bringing Sandy Jeannin on board for their U17 team and possibly a position on the first team as well. However, other teams are also pursuing the former Gottéron captain, HC Université Neuchâtel being one of them. (mso)
