"When you are born and grown up in the Ticino it's somehow clear that you cannot not miss this region," the 29-year-old tells Ticinonline. "I carry it in my heart. Sooner or later I'd like to come back, but you never know what happens in your career. With a family and two children, however, the strong desire to return remains persistent."

Nodari, who is a product of HC Lugano, made his National League debut with the Bianconeri during the 2006-07 season. In 2013, he left his youth team for the SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers, before he finally joined Lausanne HC during the 2014-15 season.

The 29-year-old defenseman has suited up in a total of 519 National League games thus far, scoring 22 goals and 44 assists.
