Nyffeler has an out clause in his contract with HC Ajoie, which would allow him to leave the Swiss League team before his contract is up at the end of the 2018-19 season. The 24-year-old goaltender is a known commodity to Kloten, as he already played for them in junior.
Nyffeler is currently doing quite well in the Swiss League and has posted a .931 save percentage in the 20 games he appeared in for the Ajoulots this season.
