It is already the second head coach change in Lausanne since the start of the season: Sarault took over from Dan Ratushny in mid-October last year. However, due to the bad team performance (two wins in the past ten games), LHC's leadership has now decided to apply the emergency brake and make another change.

John Fust, who most recently worked as head coach of EHC Visp (2016-17), will be assisted by the 46-year-old Canadian Ron Pasco. Both contracts are will run until the end of the season. "The challenge is clear: players need to regain a winning mentality so that the team can avoid any unpleasant surprises. I am determined to succeed in this important mission for the club and its supporters," Fust announces.

As for Yves Sarault, his contract with Lausanne HC remains valid. The 46-year-old will have the chance to return to his position as head coach of the Elite A team after this season, provided he still wants to. Sarault's ex-assistant coach Rikard Franzén, on the other hand, has to pack his bag and go.
