Servette's two current import players are both defenders, so Chris McSorley is most likely looking for two forwards. That's where Matthias comes in. He was part of the Winnipeg Jets for the last two years but has not received a new contract from the Jets or any other NHL-team yet.

In the last ten years, the 30-year-old has made 564 regular season- and playoff games in the NHL for Winnipeg, the Colorado Avalanche, the Toronto Maple Leafs, the Vancouver Canucks and the Florida Panthers. In those games, he recorded 91 goals and 86 assists.
