The SIHF court has decided not to change the single judge's verdict, thus Lausanne HC's Ronalds Kenins will not be punished.

In the 59th minute of the game between Lausanne HC and SC Bern on October 6, there was physical contact between Ronalds Kenins and referee Joris Müller . No penalty was called for the incident and the initiated proceedings lead to no further punishment.

The Officiating Department did not agree with the single judge's ruling in this case, so they appealed the decision. The SIHF court has now decided in Kenins' favor as well, based on the lack of intent on the Latvian's side. For a violation of SIHF-rule 116 (abuse of officials), there needs to be intent, but the court decided to view the contact as accidental.
