As the Kuopio-based newspaper Savon Sanomat reports, current head coach Sami Kapanen, 45, is going to leave KalPa in direction of Lugano. His designated successor, former SCL Tigers forward Tommi Miettinen, has reportedly already signed with the team from the Finnish Liiga.

A week ago, Kapanen confirmed to La Regione that he is one of the candidates for the coaching position in Lugano and that he would be interested in the job. So far, however, there has not been an official announcement from HC Lugano on this matter.
