The expiring contract of Serge Pelletier will not be renewed, despite a positive regular season, ended with a second place in the standings of the National League. As the newspaper reports, the disappointing defeat in the playoffs will make it easier for HC Lugano to justify a decision that, according to the rumors, had been taken for a while now.
The main candidate to replace Pelletier remains Chris McSorley, although it seems that the name of SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers' head coach Jeff Tomlinson has also surfaced recently. Nonetheless, Marco Werder, CEO of the Bianconeri, dismissed this rumor with a laugh.
