"It's a bit more relaxed here and the players maybe don't take every game so seriously," Robertsson says without judging if this is better or worse than in the SHL. "There are guys who could have easily played in the NHL, but they want an easier place to play. An easier life."
While the 47-year-old criticizes that the SHL has become rather predictable and monotonous, the games in Switzerland tend to be more exciting, he says: "What has struck me most is how incredibly skilled some players are."
There is, however, also the opposite: "There are such extremes of players. Some of the best players in Europe are mixed with some who might have had a hard time playing in the Allsvenskan [Sweden's second-highest league]."
