"Roy is definitely a player worth considering," team manager Alex Chatelain states. "However, it is not always a good idea to bring back former players." The 33-year-old center played for the Bears in the 2015-16 season. After a one-year stint in Switzerland, he signed with Avangard Omsk and was then traded to Traktor Chelyabinsk in November. For the latter, he appeared in 40 KHL games, scoring six goals and six assists.

Another former player that could return to the capital next season is Cory Conacher. The 27-year-old also left Bern last summer to pursue his career with the Tampa Bay Lightning. Even though there are rumors that he has already signed with HC Lugano for the upcoming season, Alex Chatelain confirms that he has been in contact with Conacher's agent.

This term so far, Conacher has played ten games for the Lightning in the NHL (one goal, three assists) and 54 games for their AHL affiliate, the Syracuse Crunch, putting up 56 points (16 goals, 40 assists).
