The Swiss League team celebrated the end of the season with their fans today and bid farewell to some of their players.

Dion Knelsen retires
EHC Olten

Dion Knelsen is among the players who will not return to EHC Olten for the 2022-23 season. The Canadian, who recorded 26 goals and 34 assists in 47 regular-season games, had decided to retire from professional hockey.

According to the Oltner Tagblatt, Knelsen will return to Canada with his family to start the next chapter of their lives. The forward has been part of EHC Olten's organization since the 2019-20 season.

The Mice also bid farewell to Simon Rytz (EHC Biel), Joel Scheidegger (HC Fribourg-Gottéron), Léonardo Fuhrer (HC La Chaux-de-Fonds), Dan Weisskopf, Cyril Oehen (EHC Visp), Robin Schwab (EHC Basel), Dion Knelsen (retired), Colin Smith (?), Simon Lüthi (?), Nico Gurtner (?), Dominic Forget (?), Adam Hasani (?), Jerome Portmann (?), and Silas Matthys (?).
