The Lakers are, for instance, interested in signing EHC Biel's Stanislav Horansky, who had to leave EHC Biel as the Journal du Jura reported about two weeks ago. However, according to Die Südostschweiz, various NLB teams are interested in signing the 23-year-old forward.

As Michael Tobler will leave the Lakers, Maier is also looking for a new backup goaltender for Melvin Nyffeler. As Beat Trudel still plays for the Elite B team, Maier wants to sign a second experienced goaltender. At the same time, the 17-year-old Trudel might get the opportunity to play some games in the NLB.

Moreover, defenseman Elia Auriemma, who has received an offer from the HCB Ticino Rockets, can also accept the Lakers' offer until the end of this week. Another defender, 22-year-old Tim Grossniklaus, will take a decision in the upcoming two weeks.

As for the forwards, Maier still wants to sign two additional players – at least. At the moment, he is still talking with Luka Hofmann, who might also stay with the Lakers. The same applies to Lars Frei, who missed the entire season with a knee injury. If he is ready to play next season, he will earn another contract.

Ryan McGregor, on the other hand, might leave the Lakers. The player himself does not know what he will or wants to do next. Thus, the 26-year-old's future after this injury-stricken season is still uncertain.

Moreover, EHC Winterthur's Gian-Andrey Thöny, who played on loan for the Lakers in last year's playoff, will not return to the Rosenstadt. As Maier speculates, he will likely sign with the GCK Lions.
