Siegenthaler suited up in 75 games for the Caps' AHL affiliate the Hershey Bears this season, recording six goals and six assists. Since the Bears did not clinch a playoff spot and the Capitals are not in need of the youngster, he has been given the green light to join the national team. Whether Siegenthaler will jump into the lineup already for the games against Norway on Friday and Saturday this week has yet to be decided.

As for EV Zug's Dominic Lammer, the 25-year-old winger has sustained a foot injury in the past World Championship preparation week and will thus not rejoin the national team, the SIHF informs.
