The 31-year-old joined EV Zug in November in order to compensate for their injury-related absences. Since Miro Zryd and Jesse Zgraggen have been signed, however, the defender does not have a future in Zug.

According to the Luzerner Zeitung, Leeger has signed a two-year contract with the SCL Tigers. "As far as I am informed that is correct and I'm a bit surprised that Langnau hasn't announced it yet," his current team manager Reto Kläy tells Watson.

Since he joined EVZ, Leeger has suited up in five games and recorded one goal and two assists. For his former team HC Fribourg-Gottéron, he completed a total of 12 games and put up one assist.
