As the Columbus Blue Jackets announced on Wednesday, Calvin Thürkauf - as well as five other players - has been cut from training camp. The Swiss forward will thus report to his WHL team, the Kelowna Rockets.

The 19-year-old forward had already participated in the Traverse City tournament for the Blue Jackets and was then invited to main camp. However, he did not participate in any preseason games.

Thürkauf is currently in his second season with Kelowna and was drafted by CBJ in the seventh round of the 2016 NHL Entry Draft. Last season, Thürkauf scored 53 points in 79 games.
